Mediterranean Restaurant

$$$

I’ve been dying to go to La Vie, I love the waterfront and Mediterranean food alike. Plus I die for the swanky decor and the plush vibes. I was excited, to say the least when I was asked to go on date there early this summer. I had just met this guy and the conversation was very promising. He had a plan (and you know we love a plan!), dinner then dancing….SOLD!

I love the serene chic atmosphere that La Vie has, in my mind it’s what Europe is like. The service was amazing. A manager came around multiple times to check on us and how our meal was going. I was engulfed in getting to know my date so I barely paid attention to what the waiter was or wasn’t doing. I loved the scenic view of the harbor and my cocktail was very well crafted. The conversation was flowing seamlessly and it was quite blissful.

I ended up ordering the duck confit and my date ordered the Salmon. Both delicious. We had the tiramisu for dessert which was so creamy and delectable. I was stuffed so I took it to-go. This was by far one of the best dates I had been on for a long time. We got along famously and I was all smiles all night. For the first time, I felt like I had met an equal. Someone who was actually on my level and acted as such. To add the cherry on top instead of going out dancing we ended up taking a walk on the Pier…

I kid you not we slow danced to no music looking out on the water! I mean this is what my Disney fairytale dreams were truly made of and I was literally over the moon. I left feeling ELATED! But of course, it’s DC and Fairytales are far from real!

All is fair in love and war, and summer is still meant for romance, day drinking, and walks into the sunset. Just make sure you don’t get caught starring into the sun for too long, it will always obscure your view. La vie is the perfect spot for a romantic Instagram worthy moment. Go check it out if you get a chance. Let me know how it goes below in the comments!

XOXO,

KVT
