I went to Ocean Prime for restaurant week awhile ago and loved every bit of it!! It was my style: modern & upscale with an artsy twist. I ended up dining alone because my friend who hates parking in general but especially in DC couldn’t find a space. The roads were closed so she ended up in a ton of traffic some blocks away. She decided to go home because she was so frustrated.

I don’t mind dining alone because I love people watching. I think it’s important to spend time with yourself, just you. I also consider it a form of self care. Treating myself to a nice meal every once in a while, makes me feel like I'm adulting like a true #boss. I sat in a cozy booth close to the back of the restaurant. It was my first time dining so I selected from the prefixed menu.

Of course, I had to order the “Instagram Worthy” Martini everyone was talking about. I was hesitant at first because I’m not a fan of vodka or gin. I’m more of a tequila girl but it was delicious and amusing. The food was also really good along with the service. I had the summer salad and the risotto with scallops. Scallops are my favorite and a go-to when all else fails. For dessert, I had the sorbet which was light and refreshing. This is my favorite type of meal, one that is satisfying but not stuffing! It was just enough!
