I’ve heard nothing but good things about NoBu! I love Sushi and Japanese food so I was dying to try it. I finally got the opportunity when I was doing a catch-up dinner with my girl Jessie. She was in town from NYC so we had to get together!
Nobu is right in between DuPont and Georgetown. I passed it so many times leaving work and never even realized where it was. From the outside you can’t tell how swanky or how spacious yet intimate it is. When I walked in I was greeted warmly by two super cute hostess.
I will say the level of service was definitely 5 Star, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and cleanly. She removed our used plates and forks and wiped down the table after the meal. I am sure that is a company standard which is what I love!!
We had the option of a menu that the chef prepared, a menu that was pre fixed, or a la cart. Me and my friends like our options so we went the a la cart route of course. I think some of the other menus were more suited for special occasions when you want the ultimate experience.
All of our food was delicious; despite small portions it was rather filling but also light. That is always my favorite type of meal. Dessert was equally amazing! I definitely failed at creating a boomerang and literally spilled my half on the table. LOL. Normally I would have had to get a new one, but since my table was wiped clean before the dessert came out I said YOLO and carried on.
NoBu is definitely a must have experience. Have you been? Did you love it? Let me know in the comments below.
XOXO,
KVT
